Terms of Service
Last updated October 1, 2026
These terms are an agreement between you and Hamza Abrahim, who runs The Judge. By using the app, the iMessage app or the web page, you agree to them.
1. It's for fun
The Judge is entertainment. Its rulings, "damages" and records are not legal advice, not legally binding, and not a real court. Nobody is obligated to pay or do anything because of a ruling. For real legal problems, talk to a lawyer.
2. Who can use it
You must be at least 13. If you're under 18, you need a parent or guardian's permission. You're responsible for anything done with your account; keep your password safe.
3. The AI judge can be wrong
Rulings are generated by AI from what the two people write. The judge can misunderstand, make mistakes, or be unfair. Its humor is PG-13 and may tease. Don't rely on it for important decisions.
4. What you may not do
- Threaten, harass, bully, or hate on anyone, or use the court to target someone.
- Post sexual content, content involving minors in any harmful way, or anything illegal.
- Share someone else's private information (address, finances, health, intimate images).
- Pretend to be someone else, or take someone to court who hasn't chosen to take part in a conversation with you.
- Try to break, overload, scrape, or reverse-engineer the service, or manipulate the AI to produce harmful content.
We may dismiss cases, remove content, or suspend accounts that break these rules. We have zero tolerance for objectionable content or abusive users. Report a case with the flag on the case screen (or "Report this case" on the web page) and we'll review it within 24 hours. You can also block anyone you've been in a case with, and decline any case brought against you.
5. Your content
You own what you write. You give us permission to process it, and send it to our AI provider, only to run your case and show the result to the two of you. It's deleted on the schedule in our Privacy Policy.
6. Records and accounts
Verified records are counted by our server from real rulings. We may correct records that were produced by abuse or bugs. You can delete your account at any time in the app.
7. The service
We may change, pause, or stop features at any time. The app is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, to the fullest extent the law allows.
8. Limits on liability
To the fullest extent the law allows, we aren't liable for indirect or consequential damages, or for anything arising from a ruling, from what other users write, or from your use of the app. Our total liability is limited to $50 or what you paid us in the last 12 months, whichever is greater. Some places don't allow these limits, so they may not apply to you.
9. Apple
If you got the app from the App Store, these terms are between you and us, not Apple. Apple isn't responsible for the app or its support, and Apple's standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.
10. Law and disputes
These terms are governed by the laws of Minnesota, USA. Disputes go to the state or federal courts in Hennepin County, Minnesota, unless your local law gives you the right to bring them where you live.
11. Changes
We'll update the date above when these terms change, and tell you in the app if the change is significant. Using the app after a change means you accept it.
